Dedicated to delivering the best mowing systems for large-area turfgrass maintenance
Today, Eco Clipper stands at the forefront of electric mowing technology, delivering innovative solutions to turfgrass professionals across Europe and beyond. Our comprehensive range of electric mowing systems, from 2.07 to 14.11 meters wide, represents years of continuous innovation and real-world refinement.
Our story began in the 1990s on the Leijenaar family's turfgrass farm in the Netherlands, where the first electrically driven rotary mower was developed out of necessity. Conventional cylinder mowers of that era were maintenance-intensive, struggled in wet conditions, and often left grass stems and weeds uncut. Years of experimentation with small blades and smooth decks led to various prototypes, culminating in 2002 with the Green Clipper 5, the first commercial product based on this farm-developed mowing system, which has evolved through decades of field experience across diverse conditions and countries.
When market demand emerged for upgraded systems and wider, more efficient models, Eco Clipper was founded in 2018 with a clear mission: delivering clean cutting results in all weather conditions while maximizing efficiency and minimizing total cost of ownership. Our systems achieve 20% - 50% better fuel efficiency compared to conventional alternatives, while ensuring easy maintenance and reliable performance.
Since our launch, we've successfully expanded across European turfgrass operations, continuously growing our product range to serve diverse market segments. While we began with large-area turfgrass farms, our electric mowing systems have proven equally effective on sports fields and specialized turf areas with longer grass conditions.
This versatility has driven us to broaden our portfolio with situation-specific mowers tailored to different applications. From compact systems for sports facilities to our flagship rotary mowers and the impressive 14.11-meter wide RM14 butterfly mower and TM14 tri-deck mower for large operations, each system embodies our commitment to innovation, quality, and customer success across all market segments.
Our latest innovations include high-capacity autonomous systems and fully battery-powered solutions for sports fields and grounds maintenance, both designed to further reduce total cost of ownership while maximizing operational flexibility.
