High Capacity Autonomous Mowing

Why autonomous mowing?

Our wide and fast Eco Clipper mowers already significantly reduce cost per hectare versus traditional systems thanks to high field capacity, energy-efficient electric drives, and low maintenance—resulting in fewer labour and tractor hours per hectare.

To lower costs further, labour hours must come down. Autonomy aims to achieve this by removing the need for an onboard operator and enabling long, uninterrupted runs. For autonomy to be economical, the machine must combine high capacity with long unattended runtime.

The Eco Clipper AM is our dedicated autonomous mower, engineered around our electric spindle drive and wide-format decks. It delivers a capacity of up to 6 ha/h (under typical conditions) and is designed for long operating windows and straightforward service. In parallel, we integrate our mowing systems with autonomous tractors—for example, AgXeed—to offer efficient robotic solutions where a dedicated platform is not preferred.

High-Capacity Mowing Solutions

Eco Clipper offers two routes for autonomous mowing with high capacity up to 6 ha/h

  • Eco Clipper AM - dedicated autonomous mowers with 309 or 513 cm working width (optional diesel-hybrid or battery-electric)
  • Eco Clipper FM6 AgXeed - Eco Clipper FM6 systems integrated with AgXeed autonomous 3 or 4-wheel tractors (optional PTO driven generator or 700 VDC inverter)

Safety & compliance

Safe operation in the field, without an operator

To operate a large autonomous mower at working speeds of up to 16 km/h without an operator, a proven safety system is essential. In collaboration with AgriRobot and with the support of Ri.se, we have developed a certifiable safety system for the Eco Clipper AM.

The Eco Clipper AM’s safety solution combines fused sensors for obstacle detection and geofencing. These sensors are designed with individual safety levels and together form a complete safety solution in compliance with ISO 18497 (safety of highly automated agricultural machines) and ISO 13849 / ISO 25119 (functional safety requirements for agricultural machinery).
